From let.la to justin.best: A New Chapter
For nearly 16 years, let.la
has been my little corner of the internet—a domain that's quietly witnessed my journey through different phases of life. Today, I'm excited to share something new: I'm moving my public-facing projects to justin.best.
This isn't just a domain change; it's intentional. The name serves as both a personal challenge and a daily reminder to keep pushing toward becoming the best version of myself. This new domain will house everything I want to share with the world—my blog, personal cloud drive, and self-hosted Affine instance. It's where I'll create, share, and connect.
The catalyst for this change traces back to 2022, when I moved from China to Singapore. The Lion City has been transformative in ways I never expected. I found myself taking on physically demanding work that I honestly didn't think I could handle. Some days left me completely drained, but pushing through that exhaustion taught me something valuable about my own resilience.
That experience sparked something in me—a hunger for growth that I hadn't felt before. I enrolled in a part-time diploma program and discovered a new passion: network engineering. I'm currently working through my CCNA certification, diving deep into how our digital world actually connects and communicates.
As for let.la
? It's not going anywhere. Instead, it's taking on a new role as my private infrastructure backbone—handling my VPN, router access, analytics, and private DNS services. Think of it as the reliable engine running quietly in the background while justin.best
becomes the public face of what I'm building.
There's something poetic about this split. Just like my own journey—from those foundational, challenging experiences in Singapore to the professional path I'm now carving out—every piece has its place and purpose.
Thanks for being part of this journey. I'm looking forward to sharing more of what I'm learning and building over at justin.best
. Here's to new beginnings, clear intentions, and becoming our best selves—together.
